As an esteemed partner in litter prevention and environmental management, RAS was invited by the Aljunied Town Council to share its programmes with the community at the "Aljunied GRC Zero Litter Month" launched by Guest of Honour (GOH), Foreign Affairs Minister George Yeo on 3 May 08, at Harmony Park in Hougang. Some of the objectives of this launch were to showcase the respective projects launched last year under the Zero Litter Plan 2011, show appreciation and recognition to the cleaners and educate the young especially children on playing their part to be responsible citizens to the environment.

Apart from the GOH and MPs, the event was also attended by residents as well as Grassroots Leaders. During the tour of our exhibition area, apart from receiving our complimentary bookmarks, Minister George Yeo was also given a clearer picture of our programmes. RAS was one of the most-visited exhibition areas that day with residents, both young and old, approaching us for more details of our programmes.
