 In
view of current and future challenges against any pandemic, the RAS,
Restroom Association (Singapore) launched the 5th edition A Guide
to Better Public Toilet Design & Maintenance at the
14th LOO (Let’s
Observe Ourselves) Awards. The latest guide features effective
products against viruses which translate to a cleaner and safer restroom
environment for everyone.
Smart products can also
effectively contribute to a cleaner and safer restroom environment.
Therefore last year, RAS and Singapore Green Building Council signed
a Memorandum of Understanding on a new
certification scheme of smart restroom products under the
categories of Detect, Feedback, Eliminate and Clean (DFEC). This year, we
are pleased to have six products from three companies awarded the new
certification.
With COVID safe management
measures lifted this year, it was indeed heartening to have all award
recipients, partners and guests physically present at the LOO Awards. We
are honoured that, for the first time, the LOO Awards is one of a series
of satellite events supporting Clean
and Green Singapore this year. With the coming of the New Year, we
look forward to the continued support of both exemplary organisations and
individuals. Let’s work together to sustain a clean and safe
restroom environment for everyone!
