Riding on the success of the LOO (Let’s Observe Ourselves) Carnival & Awards last year, RAS continues to garner more support from new and existing partners & sponsors. The LOO Awards was started in 2009 with only 24 nominations received but this year, there were 57 nominations, which is a good sign that it is gaining momentum. We would like to thank the nominees for their support. For those who were not awarded this year, we hope this will not deter you from eventually reaping the rewards of your efforts.

RAS gives out 16 awards at the LOO (Let’s Observe Ourselves) Carnival & Awards

Chief Executive Officer of the National Environment Agency (NEA) Mr Andrew Tan, the invited Guest of Honour, launches a new set of educational messages together with our President Ms Tan Puay Hoon during the first day of the LOO Carnival & Awards held at the City Square Mall from 24th to 25th November.

RAS promotes its Happy Toilet Programme (HTP) with help from the National Environment Agency (NEA)

Mr John Loh, the key person for the Happy Toilet Programme, sharing HTP information with coffeeshop operators at the NEA South East Regional Office on 8th December. Similar briefings were also conducted at the Central and North West Regional Office on 9th November and 28th November respectively.

RAS participates actively in Clean and Green Singapore (CGS) events

RAS trains more Eco-Assessors & working professionals

Mr John Loh (centre), the key person for the Eco-Assessor Programme, conducting theoretical training for a new pool of Certified Eco-Assessors on 29th November. This was followed by a practical training session at East Point Mall on 9 December. Another training session was conducted for a group of cleaning professionals

RAS shares its key programmes with corporate professionals and foreign postgraduates

RAS General Manager Emerson Hee giving a presentation to a group of corporate professionals on 13th October upon the invitation of the NEA. RAS was also invited by the Asian International College to speak to a group of visiting postgraduates from India on 14th December.

Talks & Exhibition at ITE College Central

In February 2012, RAS is conducting educational talks and setting up informative exhibitions at five ITE College Central campuses in Bishan, Balestier, Macpherson, Tampines and Yishun.
