The RAS, Restroom Association (Singapore) is pleased to welcome the addition of Koptiam’s coffeeshops under its flagship Happy Toilet Programme (HTP). Together with Kopitiam, NTUC Foodfare, which is the other enterprise under FairPrice Group, has participated in the HTP since 2009 and they are the first food operator to achieve 100% Happy Toilet certification in 2011.

RAS certifies Kopitiam and NTUC Foodfare coffeeshops under its Happy Toilet Programme (HTP)

10 Kopitiam and NTUC Foodfare coffeeshops were certified under the HTP in July, bringing to a total of 11 coffeeshops, 3 hawker centres and 4 foodcourts under the FairPrice Group to participate in the HTP.

RAS conducts audits for three coffeeshops under the Neighbourhood Toilets Community Group (NTCG) initiative

In August, RAS conducted audits for 3 coffeeshops in Jurong. The audits serve to better prepare the coffeeshops for the Happy Toilet certification. The NTCG is an initiative launched by the Public Hygiene Council in April.
