The
RAS, Restroom Association (Singapore) had been actively gearing up for its 5-year
action plan of evolving as a Toilet Hub for building owners to provide
quality toilets, cleaning attendants to provide quality services and public
users to show consideration. We are pleased to welcome shopping centres
under the Far East Organization coming on board the Happy Toilet Programme
for the first time while we expect our training sessions for
Ascendas-Singbridge will help ensure better-designed and well-maintained
toilets in its buildings.

RAS certifies Far East Malls under the star-rated Happy Toilet
Programme (HTP) for the first time
In
September, more than 20 toilets at Clark Quay Central under Far East
Organization came on board our HTP for the first time. Prior to Clark Quay Central,
another Far East Mall namely Square 2 also participated in our HTP in
April.

engages Republic Polytechnic students to raise funds through Citi-YMCA
Youth For Causes (YFC) 2017
Republic
Polytechnic students
organised carnivals at shopping malls from July to August to raise funds
and educate the public to appreciate cleaning attendants. The students also
presented grocery vouchers to the malls’ attendants. Donations were raised
through sales of tissue holders hand made by students from old clothing.

LOO (Let’s Observe
Ourselves) Awards Ceremony

The
inaugural LOO Awards
Ceremony will be held on 17 November, at Our
Tampines Hub.
Invited Guest-of-Honour, Mr Desmond Choo, Mayor of North East CDC, will be
presenting the awards. The awards ceremony will be held in conjunction with
a three-day event from 17 – 19 November to commemorate World Toilet Day and
educate the public to better appreciate the cleaning attendants. Grocery
vouchers will also be presented to attendants on 18 and 19 November.
