For close to four years since the launch of the LOO (Let’s Observe Ourselves) Campaign in 2008, RAS has been actively promoting the Happy Toilet Programme and recognising commendable efforts made by committed owners and operators at its annual LOO Awards. While recognition remains our key focus, it is pertinent to reach out and help dirty toilet owners and operators. We hope with the introduction of the LOO Connect for the public to denounce dirty toilet owners and operators, there will be a significant change.

RAS introduces LOO (Let’s Observe Ourselves) Connect

RAS partners with National Environment Agency North East Regional Office (NEA NERO) to reach out to library patrons

Exhibition about public hygiene was also set up at the library. Exhibitions and talks was scheduled at Pasir Ris and Cheng San Libraries in mid and end September respectively.

RAS extends its outreach to teachers and foreign students from private institutions

Mr Sanjay Balan, the key person for our school outreach programmes, conducting an educational talk to teachers and staff from FIS Institute on 27th July. Two talks were conducted for foreign students the next day. On 3rd and 15th August, two more talks were also conducted at Stamford Raffles College.

RAS showcases its exhibits at two community events

Exhibits about our Happy Toilet star-rating programme were showcased at the Green Festival held on 6th - 8th July at the Marina Square Central Atrium. Similar exhibits were also showcased at the Zhenghua Primary School’s Open House event on 28th July.

LOO Carnival & Awards 2012

RAS is holding its LOO (Let’s Observe Ourselves) Carnival & Awards 2012 from 1st to 2nd December at the Level 3 Garden Plaza of the IMM shopping mall. The LOO Awards ceremony will be held at the carnival to recognise organisations and individuals for their achievements and contributions.
