The RAS, Restroom Association (Singapore) warmly congratulates owners of five Happy Toilets for clinching the prestigious ASEAN Public Toilet Award held on 6th February in Yogyakarta, Indonesia. Five Happy Toilets, which were rated 5 or 6-stars, were nominated by the RAS for the biennial award recognising exemplary public toilets in the ASEAN region.

RAS nominates five Happy Toilets for ASEAN Public Toilet Awards

Five Happy Toilets nominated by the RAS were conferred the ASEAN Public Toilet Award at the ASEAN Tourism Forum held in Indonesia on 6th February – 6-star toilets at The Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands, 5-star toilets at East Coast Lagoon Food Village, Mount Faber Peak, Seletar Country Club and Sentosa.

RAS certifies another integrated hub under the Happy Toilet Programme (HTP)

The sport hall and hawker centre at Bukit Canberra were certified under the HTP in February. The sport hall is also the first certified sport facility. Heartbeat @ Bedok was the first integrated hub certified in 2019. The HTP is the only rating scheme supported by the National Environment Agency and featured in their website.

RAS conducts training for preschool support staff of PAP Community Foundation (PCF)

Training on a set of hygiene checklists for preschools was conducted for PCF support staff on 14th March. The comprehensive checklists were launched in 2020 as good hygiene practices against the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Urgent Run 2023

The Urgent Run 2023 will be held on 7th May, at the Event Square at Marina Bay. The run connects communities across the globe through a run or a walk for sanitation and hygiene. Everyone can participate in the run to promote this cause.

Santoemma company manufactures special machines designed to help cleaning operators to clean and sanitize public restrooms. All the surfaces are covered with a white sanitizing foam and rinsed at low pressure after a few minutes.
