president In 2015, the RAS, Restroom Association (Singapore) reached new milestones with the launch of its World Toilet Day Commemoration Fund, Happy Toilets @ Preschools Programme and Guide to Better Preschool Toilet Design, Maintenance and Education. As we commence our new journey this year, we are already actively gearing up for our 5-year action plan of evolving as a Toilet Hub - a hub for all toilet matters concerning building owners, cleaning attendants and public users.

RAS receives SG50 donations from the Government in January

RAS received $28,525 donations in January as part of the SG50 Giving initiative launched by the Ministry of Education last year. 6 schools namely CHIJ Our Lady Queen of Peace, Da Qiao Primary, Horizon Primary, Jurong West Primary, North Spring Primary and Outram Secondary selected RAS as one of the beneficiaries.

RAS trains more cleaning attendants for WSQ Perform Basic Cleaning of Washrooms assessment

RAS supports St. Hilda's Secondary School’s Service Learning Symposium 2016

For the second year in a row, RAS was invited to showcase its service learning project - Happy Toilets @ Preschools - to St. Hilda’s Secondary and other secondary students at the Service Learning Symposium on 11th March. Their service learning project last year was Happy Toilets @ Shopping Malls.

Santoemma Powertec system: the solution for maintenance cleaning & sanitizing

Santoemma recently introduced the new Powertec system, especially designed for maintenance cleaning and sanitizing of small and medium-size restrooms. Two models are available: Powertec30 (cable powered) and Powertec30 Battery (battery powered), both belonging to Santoemma RESTROOM Cleaning and Sanitizing program.

The Powertec system consists of using a unique machine to spray all the surfaces with a chemical solution, rinse the surfaces after few minutes and vacuum all the residual liquid from floor, leaving the room clean, sanitized and dry.

Since the system uses a reduced quantity of water, it is the ideal solution for maintenance cleaning and sanitizing actions in those places which need a frequent service, such as:

Shopping centres, supermarkets
Nursing homes, hospitals,
Kindergarten, schools, universities
Fitness centres, gyms
Airports

With the Powertec system, restrooms can be completely cleaned, sanitized and left perfumed and dry in a short time, making the cleaning operations more pleasant and effective as well.

Using the machines is very easy and does not require any training for the operator. Small and light, Powertec machines can be easily stored or carried from place to place.
