2013 was an eventful year for the Restroom Association (Singapore) or RAS with new initiatives launched such as the inaugural Singapore WASH (Water, Sanitation & Hygiene) Conference and the 3rd edition of A Guide to Better Public Toilet Design and Maintenance. As we embarked on our new journey this year, we are already actively planning to forge concrete partnerships with other government agencies, educational institutions and private companies to jointly develop more impactful initiatives.

RAS, an Institution of a Public Character (IPC), is honoured to be among 209 Voluntary Welfare Organisations (VWOs) on board the Care & Share Movement led by Community Chest. RAS certifies workers’ dormitory and construction company office under the Happy Toilet Programme (HTP) for the first time

A workers’ dormitory and a private office under construction company Samwoh were certified with a 4-star rating under the HTP in February. This marks another milestone for HTP with the participation of workers’ dormitory for the first time.
