2009 had been an eventful year for the RAS with the introduction of the LOO Awards, our first restroom awards for organisations and individuals in Singapore and the LOO Map, our online map locator of Happy Toilets. RAS will not allow any room for complacency to deter us from working diligently toward our LOO Campaign 2010 goal of 70% happy toilets.

RAS achieves milestone in its Happy Toilet Programme (HTP)

Visitors to the toilets of the HPB (Health Promotion Board) building and four SingHealth Polyclinics - Sengkang, Pasir Ris, Marine Parade and Queenstown - will soon get to see the display of our HTP plaques. The HPB is the first government office building with all of its 63 toilets rated as Happy Toilets. It is also the first time that polyclinics are coming on board.

RAS trains more Eco-Assessors

Our volunteers attending a two-hour Volunteer Eco-Assessor (VEA) training session held at our office on 13th March. RAS also trained a new pool of Certified Eco-Assessors (CEA) on 5th March. VEAs will have to complete at least ten mystery Happy Toilet audits before progressing to become CEAs.

RAS Learning Pavilion

After making its debut at the World Toilet Summit & Expo in December last year, the RAS Learning Pavilion – a roving exhibition on Singapore’s sanitation - will reach out to four libraries from 5th to 30th April at the Pasir Ris Public Library followed by Sengkang Public Library in May, Jurong Regional Library in June and Bukit Merah Public Library in July. RAS has also partnered with the NEA North East Regional Office (NERO) to showcase exhibits on recycling, anti-smoking and littering in some of these libraries.

Our company, Qool Enviro Pte Ltd was incorporated in 2006 with a start up fleet of 50 toilets. Today, we have increased our fleet size to more than 700 toilets with six service vehicles. Click below to read more about our latest innovative product, The P-Mate.
