In its bid to equip premises managers and Environmental Control Coordinators (ECCs) with the essential knowledge of a clean toilet standard, the Restroom Association (Singapore) or RAS partnered with the Ascendo Academy to offer a free course on restroom inspection in addition to the ECC course. As required by the National Environment Agency (NEA), ECCs have to undergo training to oversee the implementation of the Environmental Sanitation Programme.

RAS partners with Ascendo Academy on a restroom inspection course

An MOU was signed between RAS and Ascendo Academy for RAS to conduct a free course on restroom inspection in addition to the Environmental Control Coordinators (ECC) course conducted by Ascendo Academy. The MOU on a double RAS & WSQ certificate in washroom cleaning was also signed last year.

RAS extends its outreach to other Town Council as part of its LOO (Let’s Observe Ourselves) Campaign @ Hawker Centres

After completing the first phase of the LOO Campaign @ Hawker Centres to 40 hawker centres managed by five Town Councils (TCs), RAS progressed to the second phase of reaching out to another 40 hawker centres managed by all of the remaining TCs.

RAS awards the Happy Toilets @ Preschools Projects (HTPP) Grant to 15 preschools

15 Happy Toilet preschools were awarded the HTPP grant in May. The grant, which was capped at $200, was for preschools to execute hygiene projects with their preschoolers under the guidance from teachers. The grant was supported by Dyson.
