After coming on board the Care & Share Movement to receive matching grant from the government for donations raised to appreciate the efforts of cleaning attendants, RAS is honoured to be among 59 Voluntary Welfare Organisations (VWOs) participating in the Citi-YMCA Youth For Causes this year. 100 teams were selected from more than 170 teams to raise funds for a VWO and a team of Dunman High School students has opted RAS as the only VWO targeting cleaning attendants.

RAS certifies first industrial building at the Seletar Aerospace Park under the Happy Toilet Programme (HTP)

The JTC Aviation One is the first industrial building at the Seletar Aerospace Park under the HTP that has achieved 4-star rating for its toilets. The Seletar Aerospace Park is an industrial park located in Seletar that caters to the aerospace industry.

RAS engages BCA Academy on its LOOAID (Let’s Observe Ourselves Absolutely in Design) project for Happy Toilet owners

One of the designs submitted by a student for a Happy Toilet at a food court under the LOOAID project in 2012. This year, Happy Toilets at tourist attractions namely the Sentosa and The Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands have supported this project. The LOOAID project is a collaborative effort with BCA Academy to expose its students to real-life projects.

Featured school: An Old Friend returns…

After a 4 year hiatus, Punggol Secondary School returns to our school programme with their students decorating the washrooms at their campus. RAS wishes to thank and acknowledge the efforts of the students and their teacher in re-introducing the STAR Programme to the school and raising awareness about good washroom etiquette.

Featured school projects from our STAR (Sustaining Toilets As Restrooms) programme

Students at CHIJ Our Lady, Queen of Peace going through hand washing procedures with RAS staff and school teachers. The students were coached on the required steps of hand washing and one by one, their hands were checked with Ultra Violet lights to ensure that no germs were present. There was also an exhibition and an assembly talk conducted on the same day.

Dairy Farm Singapore Group (DFSG) Mega Community Event

RAS has been invited to promote hygiene and etiquette to residents in the North East District on 19th July (Saturday) at the park outside Tampines 1 shopping mall. The community event aims to promote community sustainability through the 3Rs - Reduce, Reuse and Recycle.

ComChest Heartstrings Walk (CHSW) 2014

On 3rd August (Sunday) at Marina Bay, RAS is participating in a bazaar set up as part of the CHSW2014 carnival to provide opportunities for RAS to raise funds for low-wage cleaning attendants.
