With
the LOO Campaign just around the corner, RAS has been embarking on a number
of initiatives to ensure the success of this unprecedented campaign. RAS
has been seeking support from Community Development Councils (CDCs), government agencies, cleaning contractors,
toilet owners and users to spruce up the public toilets.
As
an organisation that actively participates in community events, RAS has
been invited to various events to showcase our exclusive programmes as well
as having the distinct honour of being the Guest of Honour for Catholic
High Primary’s Earth Day celebrations and a judge for a green
competition jointly organised by the Scholastic Environment Fund and Hwa Chong Institution (College).
Since
2005, our school outreach programmes have been in the limelight and
well-accepted by preschools, primary and secondary schools and now the RAS is
working towards excellence by seeking professional advice. RAS is honoured
to invite Dr Tom Keating from the United
States to come to Singapore to share his
expertise and advise us on our school outreach programmes.
We
shall continuously strive to actualise our vision of having clean toilets
for everyone and this will only become a reality with your continued
support and contributions. The LOO campaign will see the beginning of a new
era of improved toilet standards in Singapore and let us all play a
part because having clean toilets is everyone’s business!2007 was an
eventful year for the RAS with the growing popularity of our Happy Toilet
School Education
