Reduce your risk of colon cancer with the SIT-SQUAT TOILET!

FOR SITTING                                      FOR SQUATTING

In addition to preventing colon cancer, the Sit-Squat Toilet is also suitable for international venues that receive visitors with different cultural backgrounds. For example, airports, tourist spots, hotels, hostels and dormitories. Its advantages compared squat toilets are:

·         there is no need to have separate sitting and squatting cubicles that reduce the effective capacity of the toilet when serving people with differing preferences;

·         it is safer because of its above-floor design which prevents slipping into the opening, especially when the floor is wet;

·         it is easier to install because there is no need to build up a raised floor or dig a hole into the floor;

·         it can cater to the elderly and disabled who cannot squat and most Westerners who prefer to sit.

There are add-on platforms in the market that are intended to be used with sitting toilets for propping the feet. The advantages of our Sit-Squat Toilet compared to such platforms are:

·         the pan opening has the correct proportion of length to width for squatting and does not force the user to space out both feet excessively;

·         it promotes a larger ano-rectal angle and hence easier bowel movement than a semi-squat posture;

·         its water level is not too far below the buttocks and thus reduces splashing;

·         it has a hood to prevent urine spray out of the pan.

There are similar toilets from India and China. However, they have many design flaws. Compared to such toilets, our Sit-Squat Toilet has these advantages:

·         it is safer and easier to step on due to the lower foot rest height (25 cm);

·         it is safer because there is a rim around the pan opening which prevents slipping into the pan;

·         it is more hygienic because the water level is higher thus reducing splashing of water onto the buttocks (it is a siphon-jet design);

·         it is easier to maintain because the water surface is larger thus improving cleanliness;

·         it is more hygienic because there is a hood to prevent urine spray out of the pan;

·         it has space provision for a bidet/washlet that can be used in either sitting or squatting postures.
