Raising Hygiene Standards with Integrated Hygiene Solution

Cubicle Hygiene

Cubicle hygiene solutions are available to help improve hygiene standards in a cubicle, keeping it fresh and pleasant throughout the day. Sanitisers are designed to address cross-contamination risks and sneeze effects, and help create a more hygienic environment both above and below the waterline by tackling bacteria, scale and odour.

Sneezing effect can contaminate the toilet seat

Consider closing the lid the next time before you flush to prevent the trigger of sneeze effect. Over 1 million bacteria will stay alive! It is harmful and may last up to 24 hours. You can step up the hygiene standards by using cubicle hygiene care, such as Toilet Seat Cleaner and Sanitiser to help minimize cross contamination risks and spreading of germs and bacteria.

Cleaning alone does not create a completely hygienic and bacteria-free environment. Surfaces may appear clean but still be contaminated by microorganisms. Additional level of reassurance and confidence can be enhanced when using the cubicle with the availability of Toilet Seat Cleaner.

Using loads of toilet papers to line your toilet seat will eventually waste paper. We can embrace environmental-friendliness

Floor Care

80% of dust and dirt is brought into office by shoes. In a high traffic environment, soil and dirt can stain the office lobby and reception area. The presence and usage of water in the office increases the risks of slips and falls. Water is introduced from a rainy weather and washing activities in pantry and toilets. By trapping grime, dust and water, the risks of slip and falls can be minimised.

Our Expertise as the Leading Brand

At Initial we believe in smart use of hygiene so you are covered in all key areas, not just in the washroom. Our broader approach will assist you in establishing good hygiene practice and pleasant environment throughout your organisation. We identify key risk hot spots in your premises such as exit cubicle door handles, toilet seat, exit door handle, flush button urinal. ATP (Adenosine triphosphate) reading allows the analysis of biological concentration of bacteria on surfaces that indicates the level of microbiological contamination. They are usually found in food, bacterial, yeast, mold cells and microbial contamination. An ATP reading of 200 or higher is considered to have relatively high risk of bacteria and sickness transmission. Our hygiene consultants will conduct a structured study and assessment with the help of Lumitester technology and swabbing activities to determine the germ count. For instance, the door knob in an office toilet can contain between 1,000 and 2,000 bacteria per square inch!

About Dyson

It all began with James Dyson himself, who wondered if a vacuum cleaner really needed that bag. Later, Dyson engineers discovered hand dryers could dry hands without heat and fans didn’t have to use blades to cool you down.

At Dyson, we’ve been challenging the conventions of existing technology for over 20 years. Our engineers use this approach every day – helping us invent new machines that simply work better.

Why do we put up with products that don’t work properly?

In 1907, paper towels were introduced to washrooms. The electric hand dryer made it first appearance in 1948. But both have changed little since- they can still be expensive, unhygienic and harmful to the environment.

At Dyson, our engineers didn’t think that was good enough. So in 2006, they put a century of poor performing hand drying methods to rest – with the invention of Airblade ™ technology.

At Dyson we engineer machines. Machines that solve problems, whether it be a vacuum that doesn’t lose suction, a hand dryer that actually dries, or an electric motor that is small, powerful and therefore efficient.

Dyson Airblade ™ hand dryers are better for the environment

From cutting down trees, through chemical processes to disposal – using paper towels has a significant impact on the environment.  Most used paper towels cannot be recycled. They have to be disposed of. Used paper towels, packaging and bin liner end up in landfill or an incinerator.

Dyson Airblade™ hand dryers produce up to 79% less CO2 than so some other hand dryers and up to 76% less than paper towels. Dyson Airblade™ hand dryers have a lower environmental impact across measures including carbon emissions and energy consumption.

With a 5 year guarantee, the Dyson Airblade™ hand dryer is built to last. Even so, many components are designed to be recyclable with negligible environment impact.

Dyson hand dryers are fast

Testing based on NSF Protocol P335 proves that Dyson Airblade™ hand dryers are fast. Every second, up to 35 litres of air is forced through apertures up to 0.8mm wide. The result – 690 km/h sheets of air that scrapes water from hands, drying them quickly and hygienically.

Low running costs

Dyson Airblade™ hand dryers cost up to 69% less to run than other hand dryers, and up to 97% less than paper towels. 1

5 year full parts with HEPA filter (or 350,000 uses) and 1 year labour guarantee

The problem with paper towels

Paper towels are expensive, have a high impact on the environment and cause extra washroom maintenance through mess and blockages. Dispensers are often found empty, leaving no way to dry hands; paper towels can create hygiene issues beyond the washroom.

The problems with other hand dryers

Warm hand dryers are slow. Which means they’re energy hungry, expensive to run and unhygienic. Dry times can take up to 43 seconds, so many users give up before their hands are dry – risking increased spread of bacteria.

Jet dryers might look like a Dyson Airblade™ hand dryer, but when it comes to performance there is no comparison.  Thanks to weak motors, most other jet dryers can’t generate the fast airflow needed to dry hands quickly. They can also lack the power required to draw the air through a HEPA filter. So most other jet dryers aren’t just slower than Airblade™ technology, they’re less hygienic too.

Dyson Airblade ™ hand dryers are Hygienic

Warm air hand dryers use 60 year old technology that relies on evaporation to dry hands. Washroom air, which can contain germs from faeces, is heated up and blown onto people’s shoes, clothes and freshly washed hands.

Bacteria and viruses in washrooms can cause colds, flu, sickness, diarrhoea or worse. Dyson Airblade™ hand dryers, have HEPA filters installed as standard, which capture up to 99.9% of particles the size of bacteria and viruses in the washroom air. So hands are dried with cleaner air, not dirty air.

Dyson Airblade Tap at The London Eye

The London Eye is one of the UK’s most famous landmarks, welcoming over 50 million visitors worldwide since opening in March 2000.

As a global engineering landmark, the out-dated conventional hand dryers in washrooms weren’t delivering the wow-factor to match the image.  They also caused queues due to their long dry times. Thanks to a 12 second dry time of Dyson Airblade Tap, customers don’t have to wait as long in the washroom as before, and they no longer leave with damp hands – a hygiene hazard. With Airblade™ technology in a tap, hands are washed and dried at the sink, so no water is dripped on the floor. Dyson Airblade Tap hand dryers deliver a much more stylish, simpler washroom experience that fits with The London Eye’s cutting edge brand.
